/The rocket is a highly complex image: over the course of the film we have been brought from scenes of incredible natural beauty to mind-blowing hyper-consumerist cityscapes. The rocket is at once an attempt to escape the planet, to transcend that chaos below, but it is also humanity attempting to outreach itself and failing, it is the pinnacle of all the supertechnology throughout the film and it implodes from its own incredible energy. And yet it is simply beautiful and nothing more./
