what the hell is going on?
the dust has only just begun to form
crop circles in the carpet
Imogen Heap 'Hide and Seek'
nothing like an uneventful sunday afternoon to sip chai lattes, learn my role's lines and listen to the electronic divinity that is imogen heap's voice. (for starters: 'hide and seek', 'speeding cars' - I don't care much about the videos, it's about the sound.)
once again it's proven that open windows, light and candles don't make a good combination, as yesterday a moth flew in, circulated under the lamp for some time, then directly rushed into a flame and bursted into flames.
I know it's cruel and I am just as shocked as you are.
on a less kafka-esque note I hope that each and everyone has seen 'factory girl' as I type this.
one of my biggest fascinations is the idea of muses, a persona inspiring with nothing but the pure, vibrating fact of her presence.
edie sedgwick must be the epitome of a muse, fascinating andy warhol like no other person in the sixties.
when her biopic was announced I was quite hesitant as in a phase of obsession (which my life basically seems to consist of - absorbing personality) I had read and watched pretty much all of the existing material revolving around warhol's factory so I was concerned the movie might not live up to the eclectic vision in my mind.
but with a cast consisting of sienna miller, guy pierce and hayden christensen (who would've thought darth vader would make such a fantastic dylan?) I cautiously decided considering the project being kind of promising, especially since I know miller being really into method acting which seems to be the one and only way to get into a character like edie's in my eyes.
in the end I have to say the movie captures the vibrant spirit around warhol's factory in a very intense way that will suck you in and stay with you for days and sienna's performance is just breathtaking which once again demonstrates how underrated she is as an actress.

for german-speakers: charlotte from the team over at stil-los did an interview with me recently which you can read here.
I wish I could recommend it to international readers as well but I deeply mistrust the google translating tool so you better improve your german skills right about now.
thank you charlotte and everyone over at stil-los!
