so we´ve already lived our first days in 2009- how did you spend them? I can say, if the first days of the year are a forecast to what will come, then it will be busy, crazy and exciting. starting january 1st I was tied up in typewriting texts for the theatre production with tonight being the first rehearsal which had me work untill the morning hours, working with two unusual and controversial books. let me only say german gangsta-rapper and post-post-feminism.while to some people I talked to the start of the new year always feels like a pressure to do better and to get rid of all their flaws, to me, it means more the chance of being able to change for the better, to being calm for a moment, becoming clean and pure with yourself, getting rid of all the old year´s demons. it is the sensation of refreshment that I am linking with NYE.
and this coming year sure will be a sensation for itself.
being a word person I looked for phrases and terms to sketch it but I couldn´t really satisfye myself with the little scale of words that came to my mind. which, as I realize only means the best for 2009, as it will be too multifaceted, colourful and sequined to describe. sometimes I just love a fashion-to-life-analogy.
on NYE I wore an h&m skirt as a dress, tied up with a belt and teamed with a pair of gladiator heels.
