talking about excess some posts ago sunday was the epitome of the word.
after the premiere and indulging in new shoes and champagne, sunday was planned to be about fabulously lurking around the sofa in tights and a slouchy shirt, watching TV transmitted celebrity stories, drinking diet coke and maybe ordering some food later.
later A. came round though to break his abstinence of cigarettes and take me out for a glass of wine.
I happily agreed because despite champagne and wine the premiere hadn´t been the party I hoped for (eg. no dancing on tables with delighted actors) plus I would have the chance to wear the new boots out for ultimate public admiration.
at the bar we met two friends which was no actual surprise because we always meet up there on sunday without arrangement.
after acting surprised as we always do, soon there was wine and laughter catching the eye of our table-neighbours which happened to be friends with the local´s order and thus had unlimited access to any liquid inventory. not the type of person I will reject.
heavenly downfall. I enjoyed any possible combination of wine and ouzo (more ouzo than wine certainly), cracking dirty jokes being told I had wild eyes. I´m sure some table dancing would have been involved if I hadn´t just ended up in bed somehow. still next to the boyfriend though.
waking up from delirium my first reasonable question after 'how did I get home?' was 'but the shoes are fine right?', making A. a little desperate.
they are, thank god. Imagine if I had destroyed the fabulousity of those new babies in their first night out!
let me tell you, the following day was hell. not one of those pleasant hungover days spent in bed with pizza. more of a physical ordeal theat leaves you with wild visions and whiningly see-saw crawling between bed, bath and beyond.
now I´m feeling somewhat decent again but I´m left with a complete blackout about how the night ended. I guess I deserve it.
later I got a text message from a friend who worried about my state but still thought the night rocked. I think so.
